A Storyboard Artist visualizes scripts and concepts into sequential art that maps out the narrative, action, and camera angles for animated films, TV shows, games, or advertisements. They play a crucial role in pre-production by turning written ideas into visual stories that guide the production team.
Job Responsibilities

Collaborate with directors, writers, and producers to interpret scripts and develop visual storytelling strategies.

Create storyboards that illustrate the flow of action, character expressions, staging, and camera movements.

Revise artwork based on feedback from directors and creative leads.

Ensure story continuity, pacing, and mood align with the project’s vision.

Present storyboards clearly with annotations to explain motion, transitions, or timing.

Work with animators and editors to support production planning and timing.

Adapt to different styles depending on project or studio requirements (2D, 3D, or hybrid formats).
Skill Required
